  1. I'll vouch for Dons cams. I used them on a couple of racing motors, well maybe more than a couple. Once we got dialed in on the grind they were unbeatable. Great guy to talk to,knew his stuff. Like Hainz says though,he kinda stretched it a bit sometimes. But he could walk the walk. Don't know about that E-Bay stuff though. Dan
  2. Thats good news. If you can reinforce, to me that means hidden tube frame. We used to split the front clip open drill a bunch of 3/8 holes in the clip put in 2x2 tubing and weld it back up. Bondo and paint. The tubing extended into the passenger tub area and tied into the cage. Then redrill the idler arm and steering box holes for a more advantagous location. Just could never quite get it back in the stock location...LOL Anyhow good luck Love watching the videos. Dan.
  3. Hmmm I've wrecked em worse. When you look down and can see the numbers on the other cars roof you know its going to bend when you land. Any serious tech at your track? Are you allowed to "reinforce" the strut towers etc? Dan.
  4. For what its worth, we raced 510's with the stock head, holley 350 rule many many many years ago. We stumbled across an assemetric cam made by DL Potter in Mitiplas California. I can't remember too much about the grind numbers (28 years is a long time) I think he called it grind 5 or 6 ???But that thing made absoutely incredible power from 3500 to about 7600. It was a wierd thing to time but... The car ran on the pavement and when we got told to not come back with it it ended up on the dirt and did just as well. FWIW maybe hes still around, was a real curmudgeon when I dealt with him, in a good way. He sure knew his stuff.
