  1. Thats why I love Washington its 25 years old so I don't have any smog what so ever to worry about. lol You guessed it that is not the stock engine. This is an '83 corolla (AE72 chassis code not the '80-'82 TE72) so it came stock with a 4ac and this one was an auto trans. It now has a complete '86 corolla GTS power train 4age, T50, LSD disk brake rear end. The suspension is stock '86 GTS suspension with a few minor tweaks to keep me happy. And to make it run right its running a factory '86 GTS wiring loom, ECU, gas tank and lines, and the '86 dash, gauge cluster and seats for looks. All said and done it acts vary similar to an '86 GTS but its 150lbs lighter and it can pull away from an '86 20v swapped corolla while maintaining 30+mpg.
  2. I thought I'd post a pic of the Toyota I picked up. Mainly because my neighbor (ratsun member) waived me down last night but I didn't have time to chat. If you wanted to ask me something about it I'm all ears. Again sorry I just drove by without stopping. By the way I saw that sick as s**t 510 on your flat bed the other week I almost creamed myself. Oh a large port blue top 16v
  3. I'd go with a repu but I'm 6'2 and every time I shift my knee hits the dash. That gets really old after a week.
  4. My cousin just got back from Costa Rica and sent me these pics of a Datsun 510 el camino thing. All the guy could say to my cousin was " '69.....classic..." lol. Is it stock? or custom? notice it has leaf springs. All I know is that is sick. You can see the leaf spring the best in this pic.
  5. ggzilla- Sorry I've been busy I'll give you a call Sunday and stop by if that works for you. theianmonster- I'd be willing to take it but don't expect me to pay for a car in a box (sorry I hate buying headaches). Put a fresh L24 in it and make it run like a raped ape then I'll pay good money for it.
  6. I'm assuming this is the white one that got posted on CL? Can you give a better description of it? (work thats been done, stuff that should be done) Yeah its sad that good Datsun's are hard to find. I still haven't found a Z that runs half as good as my Dad's but then again I haven't heard his since '89 (may he rest in peace and I hope that Z is still alive somewhere). You guy's are probably right I'll find a good one in time.
  7. No one? I have cash. I'm looking to buy soon I've already looked at the ones on CL.org and they where in really bad shape mechanically.
  8. Hi my name is Woody (yeah its my real name too) some people here may know me. Well anyway I'm looking for a Datsun 240z, 510 (IRS), 1200 in the Seattle area. I'm looking for one that at least runs and drives perfect. I don't care if it looks like a** especially if its a 240z (I have plans for a Z if I find one). Well I hope you guys can help and a little incentive for the 240 guy's. The 240z my Dad used to drive (what a 240z will look like when I'm done).
