According to the guy i got it from, he got it in 89' and the guy he got it from had just painted it and its been in a garage ever since.

Yeah the body looks great, the mechanical is lacking but I did get it to start and its been sitting since 89' but some fresh gas, fresh battery it fired up!

This weekend I traded my 79' 620 for a 68' 1600. Its my first roadster so im not real familiar with them so i'll prob have a lot of questions in the future, so thanks i advance!

those vh45de motors are cool untill the timing chain guides break and bind the oil pump chain and fry the bearings,happend to me twice.:mad:

Been a Georgia boy all my life,just turned 29 last month.My wife and I be celebrating our 8th anniversery in nov. and we have 3 boys 6,10,16 loved Datsuns since I got my first one when I was 16.

I dont know what the volt reg looks like but there is a black plastic cover on the back of the alt. I think I will take it and get the other one tested.thanks hainz

1979 620, The first day it started givin me problems was tuesday while I was driving the dash lights were giting deam and my blinkers were barely blinking and then when I parked it I tried starting it and the battery was dead. I rolled it off and got it home and then the next morning I got in it to go to work and the head lights were so deam I could'nt see so I drove my other truck.The alternator light never came on though so i'm not sure,I put another alt. on it that I had of my 280Z and now the alt. light comes on, so is there something besides the alt. and batt. it could be? thanks David

Mike don't take this the wong way but I LOVE YOU MAN!!! you save me a half day hassel. thankfully i didnt have time to work on it earlier and i thought i would check the thread one more time and you came through for me thanks.

allright ima gonna yanker of today (the carb that is):lol: and see whats goin on.

my truck is idling at 4500 rpms :eek: and the throtle is not opened. i geuss i've got a gas leak in the carb maybe accel pump idk any ideas thanks.

I don't know what % mine is in my 620 but when i'm looking in my rear veiw at night i see a reflection of whats in front of me, its pretty freaky lookin.

no what i was sayin is if i what this sss dizzy i will have to do some wiring ill probly do a resto job on th electronic dizzy like mklotz70 did in the 320 thread. if i did decide to use the sss where can i get this blaster you speak of and would i need a different coil like datsunaholic said or no.
