  1. Sorry guys, I've been very busy at work and moving very soon so I needed this gone and local sale only. I was told I could get a few hundred bucks for the long block on top of the $100 for the gearbox on Zilvia or another S13/S14 forum but just wanted to help out a 510er. I've got a handful of interested PM's so I think it's sold everyone. j!
  2. Very dead twin cam KA long block (no harness but I'll through in the ECU) free for parts. I'm sure the head and injectors alone are worth your trouble. Heck the whole engine might be rebuildable, It over heated, maybe soft seized? The catch? I was going to ask $200 for the good KA transmission but you're doing me a favor by getting this out of my garage so I'm only asking $100. I'll even "forget" to unbolt the ZX transmission X-member I used when it was in my 510! Evening pick up in Old Town Torrance, this week only or the engine is going to the recycler and the gearbox goes back to $200! Thanks, j!
  3. Sold, deserving and capable new owner. Good luck and hope to see it again running!
  4. OK everybody, I went to the post office today to see how much shipping would be....wow it's expensive. The shocks are 12lbs together and that adds up really quickly. I think local pick up will make the most sense OR I can bring this stuff to the Eagle Rock swap meet. I'll be in a silver 350Z if I can make it up that day. I think it's the first weekend of March?
  5. Great to meet ya'all at the Eagle Rock show, I'll go next time for sure! Brakes sold, thanks! Radiator sold, thanks! Coil-overs sold, thanks! Shocks sold, thanks! I still have...... Spal dual 11" fans with shroud and rubber flapper doors, new. Was $260, now $200 ARC Abby Road Co oil catch tank, Z33 (350Z) application new but missing hardware. Was $250, now $100! AND Haltech E6X flying lead. I'm no wiring guru so I'm going to a plug and play system, my loss your score! Comes with everything you see here, some assembly required hehe. Looks new, bought second hand. ECU looks like it was never used. Also comes with new Haltech TPS, fuse block and 2 bar MAP sensor. $500 Price drop $400! Thanks! j!
  6. It says I have used all my allotted disc space ha! That wasn't too many pictures! http://community.ratsun.net/gallery/album/10627/1019-240z-for-sale/
  7. I'm new here but not to Datsuns.....first 510 was in 1996 and I'm in the middle of another 510 project so this 240Z needs to go. I suppose many of you follow Jun's awesome 510 wagon and 620 thread, we graduated together and he can vouch for me ;) I had this on Craigslist but it would be nice if a Datsun guy who knows/wants to get his hands dirty takes it on. 1972 240Z rolling chassis in Torrance So Cal for sale. Very straight body shell with only the normal minimal rot on the seat floor area. The roof panel is wavy and needs normal prep and paint but I think it's a good starting point for a mean Z. Full Auto Power roll cage and the previous owner did a good job dying the original door cards and headliner black. Dash looks OK but NO seats included. The car needs to be trailered away anyway. Un cracked Classic Datsun Motorsports fiberglass replica 432Z over-fenders and rear deck spoiler. BRE style front spoiler with brake ducks also installed and all parts sanded primed and painted. Rolling on cheap 15x8 XXR wheels but I was hoping to keep the Falken tires if you don't need them. If that's a deal breaker we can negotiate a little more $. Front suspension totally rebuilt. Brand new Design Products camber plates, fresh Tokiko 5-way Illuminas, Ground Control coil-overs, bead blasted and shortened strut housings professionally tig welded to MR2 length, hubs stripped and painted with new wheel bearings, races and OEM wheel studs. Bumpsteer spacers and new ball joints. New tie-rod ends and steering rack bushings. Pesky rubber steering shaft coupler replaced by urethane. Rear suspension has Ground Control coil-overs as well but is otherwise stock. Sits right (low) and rides well because of all the new suspension travel! Included in the car is a good radiator, Nissan 5-speed and a rebuildable N42 L28 2.8 liter with N42 cylinder head. NO carburetors or fuel pump or header included but Webbers are easy to get or swap in an RB26!! This L-Series was a very quick combination though but either a piston ring let go or a valve guide is leaking so one spark plug is getting fouled by oil. SO I'm selling it as a rolling shell of course, bring a trailer! L28 long block DOES have a new aftermarket harmonic balancer from MSA, ARP head studs(!), new manifold studs, good water pump and even a higher volume (Nismo?) oil pump. Has great oil PSI and turns over smooth. Just rebuild and find carbs! It's a shame to see it go but I've decided to put all my efforts into my Datsun 510 project. Please ask questions but the price is firm @ $3,500. PM me. Pictures soon when I figure out how to do it!
