  1. thanks, let me get my finances together and see what i can afford daughters college is killen me!
  2. anybody tried to do a turbo l16 or 18? seems pretty do-able maybe....
  3. cool, what kinda money we talkin?
  4. mine is a 72, and didnt come with ac, and i was told that there was ac offered on the later 620's so if anyone has one or see's one let me know. thanks
  5. sweet! so a lil update. i took the brake cylinders apart and honed them, adjusted everything and now doesnt want to toss me in every ditch i see! made a new transmission mount, and fixed the center support bearing. like a new truck. next is getting new window seals and working on the glass this week, then hopefully if funds permit, new paint in a couple weeks :D

    620 buick 3.8 swap

yep saw that one back when i was doing my initial searching, but then i found a kit that didnt need any real fab work. seems like the site had something to do with gm's and so forth, not really a datsun site. but there was no messing with the firewall, cutting mounts, or headers, etc. but i saved it on my favs, and then when i got home from overseas, my comp crashed and i lost all my sites. oh well bummer
  7. my neighbor worked the scales at the scrap yard, called me up, and said hey u wanna buy a lift? i said damstraight! how much? he asked somebody nearby, and said hows 100? i said, is that the best u can do?? jeez! naturaly i said yes. so he took my trailer to work next day, and brough it home with him. now, a couple weeks later he called and said hey u wanna buy another lift? i said for 100 hell yeah! but he said well, they want 700 for it cause its newer and looks better, which i dont really believe, but i said yeah ill take it too, so 2 lifts for 800 isnt too bad both are hyd electric, and no they arent hard to install. i put mine up all by myself with my engine hoist. was a lil tricky, but no problem
  8. haha!, yea gimme isnt home  but i really need to clean up. been on an ebay trip, so that helps a lil
  9. man nobody believes me but i paid 100 bucks for that lift, from a salvage yard! and they took it down and delivered it :D
  10. ha! thats the only space i have! sweet truck by the way
  11. lol, i didnt have one for a looong time, and paid more than im worth for this one. im bout to clean house!
  12. i can barely friggen walk in this thing anymore! and this is just the one, my old barn is full of cars too. i think...ima....hoarder! yep, dang dog lettin out the ac!
  13. well im 6 foot. cant say its roomy but my head doesnt hit the roof. whoever built mine took the seats and did some fab on it, and its def lower.
  14. they do look pretty similiar, and yes they are lexan. ive got to get some new gasket/seals, and then redo the glass. probably go back with lexan, dont know yet and as far as the 5 speed, dont know if it was changed before, but the 5 speed is about 6 or 8 inches longer than the 4 speed that came out. had to turn the shifter around bacwards, and spin the metal plate around for it to work but overall is a pretty sweet lil truck. i had way to many projects, but now this one is getting all my attention! cant wait to be driving it on a regular basis. next is going to be brakes, maybe a disc conversion
  15. well, ive been here for a while, but i cant remember if i was properly introduced, so...whats up! :) here are a few pics of my chop top. ive been working on it slowly, but its now a basic driver. new brake and clutch MS slave cyl. 5 speed out of a 76 fairlady z had to shorten the D/S needs brakes, and paint, just havent decided which color to paint it. might go back with the same type scheme, but a lil different.
