went to the u-pull-it today looking for parts for my 720 4x4 and found alot of good stuff. one thing im looking for though is c200 axle shafts and/or r180/c200/h190 with lower gears (33s and 4.11s suck) but hardly any of the trucks had the axle code on the doors, so my question is where else could i find the codes to know the gear ratio im getting?
its cleaner than my $400 84! id be all over a free truck! i made a 4hr round trip (here in the south hrs/min are a measurement of distance lol) for mine when i heard $400!
haha! yeah i took em out to pull the old carpet and the back is still layin around i just havnt put it in, and that driver bottom is not original judging from how it just sits there and isnt bolted in ( i duck taped it so the foam wouldnt get soaked in mud)
o yeah my goal was to keep it nissan (cuz theyre awesome) and keep it cheap (cuz im a broke college kid). i wanted a hardbody for the EFI but $400 i couldnt pass this up, & it runs!
a few months ago i made a 4hr round trip and picked it up with the goosneck (thru charlotte traffic) so here's a few pics of the 84 in progress
under the hood
yes thats a stick in my carb ( help?)
whats left of passenger side
love that bumper, tailgate is still around if anybody wants it
now the interior
theres all $400 of glory haha!
im thinking about a hp44/9in fullsize swap myself but for what your wanting theyre gonna be WIDE. id suggest yota axles there are plenty of gear/locker options and in a mini truck theyre plenty strong
hey everybody, im new i picked up my 1st datsun/nissan truck a few months ago its a 1984 720 4x4. I DD an 08 nismo frontier and ive also had an 86 hardbody but the 720 is the new offroad toy.
