Icehouse
Clean truck. I will be following this project closely :D I love air bags and body dropped rigs. Me and my brother are working on the same project, along with a few others on this forum :) Thanks dwight, Gotta get this new forum going :) Quote Link to comment
cheeks
I have no idea what is wrong with the motor on this truck I know the starter is missing and rumor has it, it threw a rod. I am clueless on the motor stuff but the body and suspension will be fun. Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
To bad you weren't closer, we just pulled a L18 with a A87 head out of our 521 and are not going to use it. Gotta go EFI and the cheapest way is a KA24E. Well if you have a welder :) Dimequarterly.com has a great classified section. Besides that I'm stumped. Quote Link to comment
cheeks
did I detect a niner in there? I have know idea about the motor sizes and such. But I happen to know a really cool mexican guy with a datsun shop, so hopefully he can get me up and running so I can focus on more important things. Quote Link to comment

He said it will go right in? Mark if you read this I am talking about the motor omar has in his truck now. I have to say for the truck being as old as it is it came apart easier than my s-trend. 71-521
Keep everything until you finish it up...it always happens that piece you thought you didn't need is the one that held everything together! Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
Keeping everything till the end does help but sometimes its nice to trade it in for some cheddar. Quote Link to comment
cheeks
I have some dumbo mirrors some side marker lights if anyone needs them. Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
Hey Ice -- how many people are you offering that L18 to? :) Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
Haha sorry Josh :) So you definatly want it? Cheeks are they factory mirrors? Do the they attach to the top of the doors? Could I get a photo? Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
yeah, I want it! I went ahead and threw my engine into my engine bay (I couldn't wait), so I'll use my out-of-the-engine frame to build up the L18. I've got some big plans for it... :) Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
I guess I'm going to have to bring it down... :) Quote Link to comment

cheeks
All the lights are going away as ar the mirrors, the bumper will be smoothed out and rechromed also. I am trying to get the cab ready to be pulled off, so how the hell does the gauge cluster unplug? Quote Link to comment
