Bamadawg
I was googling something yesterday, and came across the 240SX site. I read a post that stated you could bore a Z22 block and use 4.6L Mustang pistons in it. Wondered if anyone here has tried or heard of that? The 4.6L is 3.552 bore x 3.542 stroke - Z22 is 3.425 x 3.622 - I guess knowing the other dimensions for the 4.6L piston is crucial also. Jus trying to see if like some foreign engines, the Z22 can accept some US off-the-shelf parts. I think some Toyo engines can use 350 rods - or sumthin' like that... Nate Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I think the Toyo rods(Forged stock) are stronger then most 350 rods(cast) Quote Link to comment
blownb310
Your just going to have to get out the reference books [or check online] for specific specs like rod center to center length, pin diameters, etc. I bored out a Datsun A15 engine 3mm and used 79mm Subaru Justy pistons in it. All I had to do was have the small end of the A15 rods bronze bushed to fit the smaller Justy wrist pin diameter. I ended up with 1608 cc. Quote Link to comment
