Sorry you couldn't use the tailgate. I was paying more attention to the 620.

Hey if you find any Datsun 710 please feel free to post :)

Some one should get that front bumper on that 620 looked pretty clean to me.

I was thinking of going back this weekend and grabbing the bumper....It did look pretty nice:D!
Mmurillo, I will definately keep my eye open for you:).

Washington wreckers rarely sell whole vehicles. But I did see a place today in Kent, right next to Budget Auto Wrecking, that sells whole vehicles "by the ton" ($110/ton, which sounds reasonable).

23 Feb 2008: I stopped by:
* South End Auto Wrecking in Tukwila -- no Datsuns
* AAA Auto Wrecking in Kent -- no Datsuns.

UPDATE: They both now have policies of "no toolboxes" in the yard. I guess doofuses were not paying for small parts. But I got several taillight and headlight bulbs for cheap. I forgot to get some fuses (I need a couple...).

There are a bunch of yards on the Green river, it is a good place to go. Binford is now wrecking cars big-time (a few years ago they were just scrapping them), and there is an "import only" yard as well, but they don't seem to know what Datsuns are :-).

no tool boxes!!! wtf!!! they're too fuqing lazy to look into peoples boxes as they leave. how about a wheel barrel with a million tools laying in the bottom? most people in cars cant show up with a wheel barrel anyway. i cant imagine going back to my ride 15 times to transport tools

i'm just bitchin cause i have to have every tool in my box so i dont have to go back for something.... mostly complete standard and metric wrench and socket sets, pliers, hammer, screwdrivers, ect. i got caught needing a star bit and had to borrow one the other day. it seems no matter how many tools you bring your still missing something. i even carry a can of wd-40 in my box. a hacksaw too.

of coarse if you know what your going to get then you can just take the tools you need.

i suppose it could be worse. is it true that east coast yards dont even let you in the yard for insurance reasons????

i see some people at pull-a-part with no tool just bumming off everybody. thats the down side of carrying a bow, everybody starts bumming off you.

my dad always said there should be a vending machine up front with tools in it. they'd make a killing.

Most west coast yards say that too, and always have said it. But some let you roam around.

Ecology in Adelanto Ca. has a "gold" 620 standard Cab...Still all there Body condition was "OK" Had some Custom Rims and the back window was off and in the bed still in very good condition! They just got a white '73 620 in on friday still in the holding yard waiting to be taken out to the wrecking yard....This truck looked very nice and complete and had an Old School Camper Shell(Rounded on top with tinted Bubble? windows on side:)) on it with custom rims as well. One of the workers said he would call me when it went to the yard so I could have first Dibs on it:D Realy interested in the Camper, Fender and Grill:)! I will post when truck is out in yard and give updates.

Pick and Pull in Victorville ca. On Gas Line Rd. had a 620 standard cab...Truck was rough and had been gone thru already:( But, It had a custom Tailgate(Licence plate frame boxed into tailgate"nicely Done" and shaved datsun lettering....) Still intact, Could be used for a very custom 620:D!

Are all the ecology's book rate for stuff? I went to one in Long Beach and they had set prices for everything...it kind of sucked. At my local yards the guys just give you a figure off the top of your head and you can at least negotiate a little with them.

Mark that would be cool:)! I think I may go back for the back window and tailgate by next weekend:D Dont realy need them but could offer them in the parts section before the truck gets crushed:(.
Matt, Dont know if Ecology prices are all Book rate, They may change per state or county? I did ask about the tailgate and I beleive the cashier said $45(Pick and Pull), Back window $24 and Camper shell $160.(Ecology).
