Wrecking Yard Report

Recommended Posts

Anything good left on that thing?

For someone saying earlier that it was stripped to the frame, I was not expecting to find much.

Missing was the hood, fenders, grille, door cards, and some trim. The windshield was a safelite. The drivers door regulator was toast. Dash bezel is broken. No tach.

All the lenses were broken or missing. It is pretty rusted and beat up.

I just grabbed some smalls, horns, hood release cable, jack mount, battery hold down, and one headlight trim ring.

tdaaj, you post just said stripped (2728), and Bleach said to the frame (2733). I took both of them to be about my post of the truck.

Now Bleach mentioned an SR so perhaps his was about a different truck. No big deal.

Yes L20B, overall the truck was pretty rough to start with. IMO

I went down there to verify and yes, it is stripped nearly down to the frame. However, there are some other old Nissans and Toyotas nearby. Using only a 10mm wrench and phillips screwdriver I was able to piece together a complete drivetrain and suspension out of spare parts in the yard. The truck was running before closing and the employees even let me buy it complete and drive it home because they were so impressed with my amazing talent.

Sorry for the confusion. Read the entire story ;)

Please don't be sorry, I read the whole post and my first thoughts were of the 10mm wrench and phillips screwdriver I found in the yard. Do you need those back?

Being an old fart and old school, I like the L motors just fine. Swap motor call outs fly around like crazy on the forums and I never really looked into what they came from.

I just Wiki'ed the SR20DET and see it is kind of a unicorn motor only sold in Japan and some Euro states. Hence your joke about it.

When I run across a 02 Silvia S15 SpecR with the T28BB (VTC) Turbo in a barn out in Doty or Adna, I will be sure to pick it up and sell the SR here, as part of my retirement plan.

Just joking around too,
