Great link. Not that I'm gonna do it, but very informative. Thanks, Jeff.

might i add from what im seeing if your putting this into a 610 its completely plug and play so to speek the splined shaft that goes into the diff on a 610 is the yoke on the halfshaft

the first rule of Ratsun is you don't talk about Ratsun... no wait thats fight club.....

....the first rule of Ratsun is PICS OR BAN! :fu:

im looking for a ratsun-priced-option for using an r160 + CV axles in my 71' 510.

so far the easiest option ive found is Todd Walrich's (wolfcreekracing.com) bolt-in kits for the 510. are there other, cheaper, ways to use subaru CV axles? interested in ditching the stock half shafts.

look at philcas (think that is his user name, philcas87 maybe) build thread, iirc he used the CV adapters someone either here to at the510realm makes, and used VW bus axles.

Here is the info: http://forum.ratsun....ead.php?t=14627

they are vw bus type 2, with mattndew adapters. the write up for these is in the how-to. shh i cant afford WCR!!

How can you tell if the rear is a VLSD?

Anyone have any pics of a VLSD with the cover plate removed to show what the internals look like?

I have a newer Subi R160 Rear that I think is a VLSD but I am not sure. I do know the ratio is 4.11:1

According to the info Kurt provided, it could be from an Impreza or a WRX.

I got it with a car I bought. I would like to know for sure. It has been sitting in my garage for a few years.

Also, I've determined, I'm not a hoarder, I'm a collector.
As I'm sure a lot of the old school datsun guys are.

Enjoy the Ride!
