that is exactly the set up i was discussing with a friend. he did this to an old volvo and said it would not be to hard to do on a dime. but he got fired from our job and i lost contact after he started driving truck. i am guessing you would plum it like a draw through set up. just look up how they plum them for a super bird to get an idea. thats what i was going to do.

Here's a better picture and description.

EATON M62 SUPERCHARGER SUITS 2 - 4 LITRE ENGINE NEW. 1 LITRE SWEPT VOLUME! MAXIMUM SUSTAINED RPM 14000 AT 10 PSI GIVES 460 CFM! ENOUGH AIRFLOW FOR AROUND 300 HP.

With a blow through system OR EFI you could run an IC with it to tame the heat from the boost.

Well, no. But I do have one of those little metal things with vanes on it that mounts under the carb and swirls the gas and air and gives up to 35 HP over stock!!!

I found the S/C on a site while looking up something about a nissan motor I heard about from another site. Ever heard of a LZ20B? I thought it was just an L20 with a NAPS head but WOW was I wrong. A S/C with an air conditioner clutch on it so you could engage it only when you need it would be cool! Didn't Mad Max have a S/C on his car that didn't run untill he hit the switch?? Most of the time you could see that the belts weren't turning.

You could do something similar to what I did.

Check it out.

I bolted mine directly to the intake manifold but others have sent it to an intercooler first and then to the intake. If you plan to run carbs then things get pretty tricky. I suppose one large SU or a downdraft weber at the supercharger inlet would work but you couldn't use an intercooler that way. The xterra unit works well on the 2.4 liter motor. It would work on a smaller motor too, but you would need to make sure the pulley ratio was correct to keep it under 14 psi boost. Eaton's don't like to boost more than 14 psi.

The movie car had an empty supercharger case. There was a little electric motor under the hood that turned the belt. The SC was not functional. If you think about it, the supercharger would need to free wheel while not being driven by the motor. Otherwise, it would not allow any air into the motor. The one on Max's car did not freewheel while not in use.

BTW-Nomad Trash is my alias which is a line from that movie.
