datsunaholic
Yes a body shop can do it, assuming that there's enough metal left to reweld the bracket in. These are a common failure. Gotta free up the hinge pin first, though, or it'll just rip it out again. 2 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I had this problem. It takes a welder to repair it correctly, but you could probably sandwich it in with some new metal. First thing is to remove the hinge bolt. Lots of penetrating fluid before you attempt to remove it. Hinge repair starts on this page of my build thread. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/22191-1977-620-kingcab-deluxe/page-40 5 Quote Link to comment

whitey01
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area I live in the East Bay I'm not ready for this repair right now It's just when I look at the hinge bracket I just can't see how it will be repaired but now I get it I'm happy when I'm ready it can be repaired The hood has been messing up the fender and that other part I forgot what it's called brain freeze and fenders And I have to put a rock in between the grill and the front of the hood so it is aligned straight and doesn't shake 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
For now keep soaking the hinge bolt in penetrating oil. Eventually it may work free and stop tearing at the welds. The other part is the cowl. :) 1 Quote Link to comment
