Cid
Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone knows what size bolt fits the pivot point for the mount on the L20B smog pump? Have tried several different bolts and no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Are you trying metric or sae? The L series motors are metric... I Don't have a smog pump on my L so i' m not sure the exact size.... If someone doesn't give the correct size there are ways to figure it out.... To figure it out I would measure the inside of the threaded hole... use a drill and tap chart and find the drill size that is closest then look and see what size tap that is for... there should be enough of a size difference between m8, m10, and m12 to figure it out... datzenmike
Something that has to stay on a California emissions truck. For the test at least. The rest of the time the belt could be off. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
It is either a M8-1.25, or a M10-1.5. The other common size used for bolts and nuts on a Datsun L-engine is M6-1.0. If you own anything with a Datsun L-engine, just go to a hardware store, or auto parts store, or order from Amazon those three tap and those three die sizes now. Quote Link to comment

Cid
Thank you everyone for the help. On my L20B It ended up being a 8m - 1.25 x 90 with a nut on the end towards the belt. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Uhhh no. It blows air down tubes into the exhaust ports just behind the exhaust valves. The extra oxygen helps burn off unburned fuel. 3 Quote Link to comment
