Anyone ran a belltech front sway bar on their 720?

I bought one, didn't fit. To wide, like half maybe an inch wider each side. So the end links ends up in such an angle they won't even enter the hole in the swaybar...

Fits 720 and d21 according to belltech but seems to be more of a d21 item since I know that truck has a wider track than the 720...

I've taken sway bars meant for other cars, used a torch to get them to start glowing, and tweaked them to fit.

When they have cooled to the point of not glowing any longer, dunk them in a pail of old oil, and they temper just fine.

Glad to see you adding a stronger front bar, just adding a rear will make that thing want to swap ends way too quickly.

I just went with an Addco front bar on my 620, and love how it isn't so likely to swing the back end out, as a stock truck.

Never even mounted my Addco rear bar after testing truck with just the front bar.

By the way, it had the same POS mounting system as your rear bar.

Had already bought different axle mounts because that stock stuff was so bull shit.

PM your e-mail addy if your interested in pictures of the brackets.

Yeah I've seen some conflicting info online about that some say heat it, some say don't, only try and bend it cold... I don't know.

I'm just trying to make it handle a bit better, but also I am trying to make it go sideways though

Mine would drift cloverleaf off-ramps just fine without a rear bar, very controllable.

But some of that depends on how much tire you have on the back.

I'm only running 225x60-15 TA radials.

Wider, or stickier tires will require more stiffness on the rear.

It's like tight rope walking. Stiffer rear bar make it over steer but you can compensate by adding stiffness to the front bar. Tires, shocks, springs and ride height and weight all affect and add variables to this. EVERYTHING affects everything else

But you have a lsd don't you? Mine doesn't (at the moment). So it's all very sketchy trying to get it sideways. My c200 lsd will be done in a week or two so once that's in it'll be a good improvement I'm hoping!

Spiff, it actually drifted better before the LSD & 4-link, I think the 4-link had more to do with the back end sticking a lot better.

But I want better high speed handling, not sliding around corners.

Nothing against drifting, but it's kind of boring to me since I used to race AMA flat track, and used to doing it on 2 wheels @ 70+ mph.

So doing it on 4 wheels doesn't do anything for me....
