I know there are several threads about shipping cars, looking for specific recommendations.

I like many others have never shipped a car. Seems pretty straightforward in this case, it's a straight shot up I-5.

I've looked at uship.com and it looks promising. Does anyone have any specific experience with a transporter? Not looking for cheap sketchy transport, but not looking for high dollar stuff either.

What should I be looking for? What have you used in the past?

I'm not opposed to just flying down and driving, but that can add up as well.

I used this guy below to have a vehicle transported from Shelby NC to Vancouver WA in a closed container for around $1800.00 about 5 years ago, the driver hit 3 major snow storms, one was the day it was picked up in NC and the other 2 storms on the way so it didn't arrive on schedule, but it did arrive, the vehicle was not operational and had no working brakes of any type, it had to be winched up onto the trailer and rolled off with a rope to control the speed it came off the truck, it was delivered to my address.

Here is the guy I used, I found him thru the guy I bought the vehicle from as he had used him in the past.

Anyone have James Johnson's (keeper) phone # and willing to PM it to me?

I'm also sending him a PM now.
