WTB late 210 5speed internal parts!

Anybody have a blown up damaged parts transmission for the LATE 79-81 210 standard H shift pattern 5speed (NOT the earlier dogleg 5speed) transmission?  We are in need of some of the little rectangular "detents" in between the inner & outer synchro slide hubs. Riley at Lynchburg Nissan called these detents "dogs", but they are NLA/NLS.  Each synchro slide hub will have 3 or 4 of these "detents".  There is a small ball bearing & spring "touching" each of these "detents", as they work with spring pressure & a "click".  We are willing to buy the slide hub assemblies so we have enough to replace what we need!  If we have to buy a complete blown up damaged transmission & have it shipped, so be it, but if you can disassemble it that saves you having to box up a whole tranny & saves us the higher shipping cost.  HELP!!!

Correct Mike.............not the dogleg, but the later 5speed!  Riley cross referenced the various other Datsun application tranny detent part #'s, no luck......they are late 210 5speed ONLY!  Ugh!!

Fingers crossed A-series specialist SCCA racer Peter Zekert in MO says he has them, will know Sunday!

Yes Mike, those are the detents, and again, Riley cross referenced the part #'s...........they are 79-80 210 standard H shift pattern ONLY!  It's these silly little parts that go NLA/NLS that can stop a project in its tracks!  And people wonder why I try to keep & organize all of my 510 parts like I do!  I have saved our asses at work numerous times, cuz I have had something like this part for a 510 or a Z project in the shop!  I hope Monday morning will offer good news!!

If 32609-H9700 is the part number, I think I can get it brand new. You just need one? It'll take probably 2-3 weeks to get and won't be any less than $30 as it'd be coming from Japan.

Hey afracer, thanks for chimming in!  I deal with Riley @ Lynchburg Nissan for all of our OEM needs, he said detents for this later 80-82 210 standard H shift pattern 5speed 1-2+5-R are that part #.....32609-H9700.  I will have to confirm with him exactly what his code 1-2+5-R means, but I think he means synchro hub 1-2 and then synchro hub 5-Reverse.......which I THINK means a total of qty 6 of part # -H9700.  If that is the case, then he also stated that the 3-4 synchro hub detents are part # 32609-M0102, which we would very possibly buy!

Do you think you can get qty 6 of -H9700 & qty 3 of -M0102?  Since we might be digging deeper in Japan, the following part #'s are different thicknesses of a C-clip part # that we would also like to find..........32268-H7300, 32268-H7301 & 32268-H7302...........potentially qty 1 of EACH.  I will verify these part #'s in the meantime, but Riley has rarely steered me wrong!  Please let me know availability!

Yes, if you find these in Japan, we are willing to wait, but we would likely ask for some level of air freight to expedite!

A-series specialist & racer Peter Zekert in MO had hoped he had some USED, but he did NOT, so we are back to square one.

Hey Bill, thanks!  Afracer is currently working on acquiring NOS for me out of Japan, but we have not received final word on exactly what we will be able to get.  Once invoiced from supplier, I am happy!

Are your detents out of the late 210 5speed with the standard H shift pattern......not the dogleg??  Dealership ran all part #'s for me, these late 210 parts are specific.....ie NOT earlier dogleg, NOT Z ZX 5speed etc etc.  Sucks!  If yours are late 210, and you don't mind sending a couple pics, send to yenpit@hotmail.com.  If NOS out of Japan fails, and yours are correct, we would grab from you!  Thank you!

Great news!  As of this morning, afracer says that the NOS parts are ready to ship from Japan, so again, fingers crossed it all comes thru!

BillM, thanks, I will let you know if we need to dig further with your parts!

Thank you all for chiming in, but a HUGE thank you goes out to afracer for directly dealing with an NOS middleman service in Japan, getting us as many of the MUCH needed parts as he could!  This gearbox is goin' back together!!
