I just got the car with no background info other than it was last driven 2008. The engine starts up just fine first try and sounds strong! But it only idles for about 45 seconds then dies.. I have to wait about 20 minutes before it will start up again then it dies about 45 seconds... the fuel pump is bran new and so is the fuel filter. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted February 25, 2018 Report Share Posted February 25, 2018 Did you check for spark when it won't start? Probably not it, but saves running around looking at fuel as the cause. When I won't start can you hear the fuel pump working???? Quote Link to comment
