26 240 - 027 00

26...... is #5 electrical section

200 to 300 (240) is an interior bulb not exterior.

For example 26 261 is the interior light bulb for the 620.

The 027 is the part type designation, which is the vehicle model this part was originally made for, but it may easily have been used in other and much later models. A little research turns up... 027 is the 211 the next generation Bluebird after the 110 in the late '50s. This bulb is from then but could easily have been used elsewhere, perhaps even today? No sense reinventing the wheel.

The last two digits (00) is the distinction number. Specifically a similarity distinction for example 00 red carpet, 02 blue carpet, 03 green carpet. In the case of a light bulb perhaps the difference is the shape of the glass although both are in use, the same.

Unfortunately my data base does not go back that far and I can't find any superintendence number for it.  To recap, it appears to be an interior light bulb first used in the late '50s 210 Bluebird.

Yes! A picture would be nice. Maybe it is known as something else.

What's the story on this part?

Sure does, but nothing I have ever seen. If I got my info correct it was originally from a '58 (ish) 210 Datsun but may have been used in some other later vehicle . My parts info only goes back to '66 and this part does not call up on anything newer.

I really think it is older than '60's models. Like Mike, my catalogs don't go back much further. Wish I would have grabbed those book catalogs when I had the chance.....dammit.

Not a 1965 410 2DR RHD Sedan Bluebird.

CLOSE to a 1967 411 SSS 4DR Sedan, but not quite.

The '68 Canadian 510 had one on the driver' door post like the top one. B pillar?

The 521 truck had one like the second one but behind the driver over the back window.
