Help wiring intermittent wiper switch

Hello all. I just got the intermittent wiper switch and trying to install it. I wired it to my 78 and i can’t seem to get it to work intermittently. I did follow the how-to in that section. I powered the blue/red wire with always hot 12v. I can hear the relay box click when I have the switch in that position but the wipers don’t wipe. The wipers do work in the slow and fast setting. One thing I do notice though, when I make them wipe in slow or fast, the don’t return to the down position when I turn them off before the fully cycled. Any suggestions?

Is this a 620 intermittent wiper switch or some after market?

There should be 12 volts going to the wiper motor at all times the ignition switch is on. This is so it is powered and can return to the park position when you turn them off. All the intermittent box does is turn the wiper on for a second, just enough to get it off the park position and then it shuts the wiper off. Now it should simply park the way it was designed.

So I'm still trying to get this solved. I have the black box and the harness plugged in. I have the blue/red stripe wire depinned from the connector and connected to a 12v source. Like I said before, the box does click when it is switched on but the wipers do not move. How have others wired it? Oh and this is into my 78
