Windshield Questions

[DIY 1985]

The adapter for modern windshield blades that I am running is crap.  That button style end on the arm stumped the person behind the counter at the local auto store.  Currently, small zip ties hold my blades on for the most part.  The truck came with a single OEM wiper on one side.  Does anyone have experience with the original wiper blade inserts?  I'm kinda looking for a second original Nissan wiper blade, or a better adapters to the wiper arm.

 

I am also looking for a properly fitting windshield sun shade that I can stash, rolled up, behind my bucket seats, any advice?

If you look around you can order just the blade refills. You simply cut them to size. I detest those plastic POS replacement ones and go berzerk when someone has those double or triple blade things on a Datsun. I order mine and keep the stock arms. About $5 a pair vs. up to $20+ for a single refill.

Are the OEM 720 wipers the same for other Datsuns and Nissans?  I need just one and want to know what other models might expand my search.

Usually they are specific to the vehicle but I have swapped other pairs of arms onto my Datsuns.
