Does anyone know if the bellows that connects the air cleaner snorkel to the radiator header panel is available from the dealer or elsewhere as a reproduction?? Anything that might be available at a salvage or in someone's parts stash would probably crumble into dust taking it off the donor vehicle or shelf. The pickup is a 1978 and here's a a pic of what I'm looking for:

I pulled a engine out of a 1980 720 pickup, at a junk yard, and the snorkel bellows similar to the one you have pictured was in the way for some other stuff.   The radiator support sheet metal bent before I could get the snorkel to let go of the metal.

I live in Oregon.  The plastic and rubber parts are in pretty good shape for a 40 year old vehicle, but rust is an issue.  You, living in Oklahoma may have less rust, but more heat damaged plastic and rubber.

If and only if you can remove the existing flex hose without inflicting more damage than shown, a temporary fix that may outlast the original bellows would be to cut nylon or other synthetic patches, saturate them in RTV and apply to the inside with a wooden tongue depressor or popsickle stick.  Work the patch as close to the interior bellows as you can and wipe / smear some more RTV on the exterior.  Neatness will produce an almost OEM but cleaner surface.  Sloppiness will work just as well.  Then go in search of a "real" replacement.  Owners of 40 year plus vehicles need to learn to be scavengers and innovators in order to keep rolling !  My car is 50 years old.

FWIW.....The OEM part # is 62861-B8001 for DX (Deluxe I assume) model from 02/76 and on.

There is another listed for a "T" model (truck, I assume) 62860-B8000 from 09/74 and on.

My guess (and only a guess) is if you have a Deluxe truck use the first one.  If you have a basic truck use the second.

If these are still available from Nissan I can neither confirm nor deny.
