datzenmike
To get all the advantages o the EIs high spark output you will need a coil from a '78 or newer Datsun. You can also remove your ballast resistor. The coil needs to be 0.8 to 1.0 ohms resistance ignore that 1.6 below. If the blue transmission, it's from a '79 or newer 210. The air filter box looks like from an EFI car. Like the 280z, but not a zx.. 1 Quote Link to comment
76 fastback
So the hood was a complete disappointment from the get go so I went back to the original and recut it along the same body line. And instead of a half inch like before, I went with a 2 inch so I am not going to muff it this time. I'll use this hood as a mold like the last one. Quote Link to comment
Skib
Am I seeing that right? Are the entirety of your side walls built up out of body filler? Quote Link to comment
afracer
Judging by the molded on fenders I'd say yes. Very cool you've found some nice goodies. Clearance on carb to brake master is always tight in Lhd cars so I see where you're going with the air filter setup. Hope you've got a bigger cam than stock for those carbs and valve springs! datzenmike
Am I seeing that right? Are the entirety of your side walls built up out of body filler? No. There's wood and muffler tape. If just bondo, even bondo with fiberglass threads, a good bump may split it open. Seen a lot of sculpted bondo just fall right out. It's best for thin filling, less than 1/8" and should be supported from behind or sealed (paint?) from water at least. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I think the 'new' hood will add to the profile symmetry. Might look good in black also to match the sail panel and tires Quote Link to comment
