Yes... Abandoning the Z pretty bad too

Cummins doesn't need an X wing to sell

Sorry VTR, cool shit but Hollywood sucks

I've not seen the commercial in question,do know of some official SW themed car stuff happened here with Holden and I find this sort of thing TOO gimmicky for my tastes.

Star Wars itself I like a lot as it was one of the things I grew up with and love.

Here is one. All I get from the add is that they sell cars to the easily distracted and not to bright to be driving

Not seen them here in AUS but then I don't watch a lot of free to air TV.

Thanks for sharing the link.

Got to assume that you can be distracted and it's alright, the car will save you.

All of the improvements in "safety" give people the 100% false sense that they can push the limits further and not suffer yet of course not one single invention in a car yet can totally save you from death or permanent injury.

My most hated "innovation" is the reverse parking assist -   so you cannot actually do something required to pass a license test but hey we'll give you a feature that does not encourage you to learn how to do it competently.

My wife's car has a rear camera, I never use it. When I turn around to look or use the mirrors she points to the screen and wtfs me. I reply it's a skill that needs constant use, to be good at. It only shows what's behind you and there's no depth perception. If you use it only, to back out into traffic, you are totally relying on another driver to see your back end coming out into his way and honking or stopping.

So are we now going to have a generation of drivers who rely on a sensor to tell them if the lane they are changing into is clear of a vehicle? It is bad enough that some of them only use the mirror and have the inability to turn their heads to look.

Last night a Prius passed me up with about 5 electronic devices hanging on the dash and all lit up. Phones and tablets. I you need a map to get around your own town, you need to get out more often.

And no, there was no Lyft or uber tags on the car.
