Well, Ratsun, I have strayed from you for far too long. After my youngest daughter was born, I got rid of my 79' 280zx, but was still getting messages on how to do what I did to her for over 2 years after leaving the community. After my ZX, I got an 03' Xterra and made sure to add a Datsun badge to it. As per my previous cars, I still jave people asking me to explain how I did something to it though I haven't owned it for 2 years. Que my latest car (RIP), a 2006 Audi A4 Avant. Acxording to Audi, o1 of 18 made. Unfortunately water cannot be compressed and the engine has decided it doesn't want to run anymore. Insurance is totalling it out as we speak.

Now, as to why I'm back: I jokingly told the wife I was going to buy a 620 as my commuter (job upgrade, a bit of a commute). She then said if I could find one for under 1k, I could get it.

Now I'm on the hunt.

Currently located in Spanaway (Tacoma), wa

Help me keep eyes peeled? Found one with no brake lights (must be towed) for $700 that was posted a month ago and they haven't responded.

Good to see you're not dead,,

I saw an orange one on craigslist out in Monte the other day, that seemed in that price range .. Says it's an auto ( probably why it's a little cheaper) ... but there's a guy in Tenino with everything you would need to change it over to stick in his garage.  Shit i'm storing 2 620s for him that have everything you might need in my back yard .

I have a fully rebuilt eng for your Audi ready to go if your interested? Buy back the car from insurance and swap an eng in it and keep going. It has all new valves, timing chain, tensioner and guides, pistons and rings (no more oil consumption), bearings, new cam bridge, all seals and gaskets. This is a complete long block. $2200obo. Dealer wants $3500 for same. I'm in Portland.

Hey, man, thanks! I'm glad I'm not dead, either. I've been looking on Craigslist and offer up, as well as cruised the classifieds here without much luck. Haven't been accepted back into the FB Ratsun, yet. Plans for it would be to be reliable and manual, and save up for a little ka24e ITB build because I like to tinker.

Edit: saw the one in montesano. There's a better (in my opinion) 77 around here for 1125obo that was ppsted a week ago with new brakes. I plan on changing to disc brakes at all 4 corners, but its ,ice to know. Has all of its mirrors, too!

Insurance had actually decided to buy and replace the engine. Is it a 3.2 v6? If the one they ordered is the wrong one I may shoot them a heads up with your permission. Soubds way better than what they found. As far as I know they are skaiting the total line by around $200.

I have no problem swapping engines in older cars, but I hate all of the electronics on newer engines. Never thought it woupd be this way, but thats something I would easily pay to do. Lmao.
