scooter
So here's an idea that's a Lil different, what I'm getting at is what cars out there would be fun swaps to put an L series into (L20b) or L28.. Etc. For things newer this won't be the "fast" swap, but I'm sure some of us on here are die hard l series fans. So whatcha think? L28 into a z31 or z32.. Or an L20b into a BMW E30 or maybe turn it around and put one in a bug or Karmann ghia.. Or either of the two into a fox body mustang? Haha. And GO Quote Link to comment

Plusnone
L series (back) in a 510...... Quote Link to comment
505plus5
Maybe an L16 into a Z car. Hahahaaaaaaa Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
L20B in a 1200, B210 or 310. Maybe a 510 or 521. L28 maybe in an 810 or Maxima so it at least fits but is not a replacement for the VG30 at all. If I was going six cylinder in an S31 or 32 it would be an RB26TT Whats a BMW? fox?? 1 Quote Link to comment
racerx
Yeh, right an L series in a vw? Or 2 in a fox body mustang. I say go ahead and show us ur work, spend all that money and time wasted. Smh. Quote Link to comment

scooter
Don't hate, there's ford 2.3 swaps in bugs all over, l series is not much different... This is ratsun. If I did this It would be some ghetto ass shit.. More or less just trying to spark some chat in a dying forum... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Wouldn't an inline 4 stick out the back? You'd need some kind of adapter. More or less just trying to spark some chat in a dying forum... Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I don't know about "good" but we have been going to install the L28 turbo engine and 5speed out of my brothers 83 280zx into the 66 Rambler Ambassador out back for at least 10-12 years now.... And in a few days it will be yet one more year :geek: . 2 Quote Link to comment
Fat510
Swap every Nissan V6 into the trash I’d like to see more use of L28s and L24s. Quote Link to comment
Jesse C.
Swap every Nissan V6 into the trash I’d like to see more use of L28s and L24s. Then put one in your A-10 More VG's for me Quote Link to comment
Fat510
Then put one in your A-10 More VG's for me I’ll put it in the back, more room back there. Quote Link to comment
petercscherer
I have a rebuilt L2.8 on the shelf while I look for a longitudinal Maxima. Other than that, the L series engine is not a good candidate for swapping INTO things... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Great sound though, but if doing a six get an RBsomething Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I’ll put it in the back, more room back there. On the roof with chain drive . Quote Link to comment

Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
L into anything Old and Mercedes just to be cheeky. Or L into most of the smaller British sports cars. The Japanese motors were far more power efficient and can make way more power because of the vintage racing scene's investment now. Quote Link to comment
nl320what
Friend had an L16 in an 2 person Helicopter. Someone was selling a mini-jet 8ft boat with an A15, could be swapped with an L16. Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
There's an Anglia out here in the desert with an L20B and short 5 speed. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I found a home made plywood covered tracked vehicle with VW transmission and '79 620 L20B welded onto it. Trees had grown up around it so it had say for a while. The L20B had a 71B 4 speed locked in first and was in the back facing the rear and I guess the trans/axle was driving the front wheels inside the track. Rad was full of green anti freeze. Got the engine and trans for the asking... had a matchbox too and a rough dash. I got everything. Quote Link to comment
