If you use a corvair clutch, a Datsun will lose control, and crash...

You don't want to use any pinto parts either.

"All of a sudden it started making noise, then started losing power. I limped the car home and tried to get it up the driveway, the engine just died."

Why do people do this?

A $100 tow bill is never as much as the extra damage you cause by trying to "limp the car home".

Don't be that person !

datsunroadsterparts.com has the daiken 600KG version for 169$  best deal around if a daily driver with a little more clamping is needed(dual carb equipped)

that's a good deal and people need to buys these up and save them.

Throw on some Weber sidedrafts, Rising Sun hood.... call it good

I run an OS Giken twin plate.

Probably way more clutch than an L4 would ever need, since I run nearly the same clutch on my Toyota 6-cylinder,

but what the hell, it will never wear out....

G-Daux,

Are you running sintered discs or cermatellic? Solid hub or sprung? That AP is for a single disk. They'll do single disks to 300ft-lbs. But the pedal effort will be high Vs a twin disk at the same torque rating. A lot of things out of England right now are very cost competitive. Two places I've found are Demon Tweaks and Burton Power they're like the Summit Racing for road racing, but in England. Closest place in the states for cool inventory is Pegasus Racing, pricy but they typically have it in stock. I'd have links, but win10/IE 11 or whatever it is, is not user friendly on this site.

Sintered, non-sprung on both vehicles.

I don't like Pegasus.

They sold me some aircraft shear bolts that were crap Chinese shit.

They were for a critical suspension joint, and no way I was going to use them in something that runs 185 mph.

Damn things were so bad, that when I screwed their fake nut onto their fake bolt with my fingers, it seized, and I had to use wrenches to get them apart.

The fake airframe bolt is on the left.

To do the Nissan spline disks into my Toyota AP 7-1/4 clutch/flywheel, I went to http://www.powertrai....com/index.html

They have just about any diameter, thickness, and material disk you can dream up.

cool site, thanx!

Cant remember who we got are AN bolts from when we raced the roadster. Maybe Henrys or Earls? Just looking at the bolt on the left the cad plating is already worn off, pretty bogus.

Go with Earls !  The manager and I worked together many years ago.  And he just loves my RL411, so I trust him !  Next best things is the McMasters site !

Earls makes bolts ?

I know they make fittings, but never seen any type of fastener from Earls, or actual clutch part from them.

McMaster is a good source for some fasteners, but are real lax on specialty fasteners like Japanese spec. bolts, like fine threads, and small hex stuff. Nothing I hate more than finding Euro spec. bolts like 11, 13, 15, 16mm heads on a Japanese car.

And they sure in hell don't have air frame shear bolts.

But this thread wasn't about fasteners, I just brought that up to point out some of the problems buying from Pegasus.

Have never found anything from them, that I couldn't find better, or cheaper somewhere else.

I think they made their name back before the internet, and supplied people who had no idea where to find stuff.

I used to buy all my fasteners and AN hardware from Ted Shulgin. His father was known as the godfather of ecstasy for his work with MDMA. Ted was a trip, but he had everything you could ever want. Including shear bolts.

It might be coincidence. I haven't looked for or bought one since I replaced the one in my 340 Dart in '71.

My wife noticed after she and her co-workers were sitting around talking about things, they would all get ads on their phones related to what they were talking about. The phones are listening. So I did a test and would randomly talk about things I normally don't (I think it was alaskan cruise or something) and sure enough, I got an ad. I have since gone through all my devices to make sure all the tracking, camera and listening devices are turned off. I also keep my camera on my PC unplugged.

For what its worth, my 75 610 factory manual lists in the clutch section the clutch cover 'full load' is 450kg (992lb) whatever that means?
