On my grey 1200 I belive I used Scott's Old Auto Rubbers and that was quite some time ago (2010-2012 maybe) and also used the black 3M adhesive (yeah, that stuf can get very messy very quick). All of those  seals seem to be holding up well.  For the green coupe I used newdatsunparts.com and so far so good (installed September 2016).  The door seals were done off of the car. Used pretty much the same process...let the glue get tacky, hold in place for several minutes, then masking tape to hold in place at least 24 hours.  I just recently did the glass run on the front doors of the wagon and once the glass run was in place, I installed the door glass, ran it all the way up to hold the run in place....let it that way for 3 days and seems to be holding.

There are some Datsport seals I am looking at for the wagon but currently funds are tight.

I just noticed my car is missing the hoop! Dammit I knew something didn’t look right about the roof

I got my roof hoop installed and went about grinding on the floor patches.

So a few days ago I picked up the grill pieces and hood trim piece, and lower grill trim piece.  I couldn't wait so I decided to put the grill together and install to see how it looked.  I think I mentioned when I turned my grill in that it was in 9/10 shape, well after getting it back it probably decreased to 8/10 shape.....it turns out that the silver paint was applied over filler to fill the corrosion.  I don't mind the corrosion and it adds some "character".  I much prefer the factory polished look.  Another thing that amazes me is all of the pieces that were made to build this grill back in 1970!!!  I can't believe that Nissan supplied this grill as a factory option.  It is AMAZING!

Boy is it NICE to have two 510 shells on the side yard

I was able to locate the interior drain hoses and clamps, as well as the fender hoses.  Not sure if these are made anymore as it may be nice to eventually replace the fender ones but these will do the job!  I soaked these in hot soapy water and scrubbed them for an hour before installing. They may not be pretty but I am glad I had some that I could use:

So Eric came over yesterday to help me finish the trunk rust repair and POR-15 all of the floors.  While waiting for him to arrive I just HAD to try and install the dash among other things.  SO SATISFYING!!!  I am beyond happy I decided to go as far as I did with powdercoating and plating the hardware......it's like assembling a brand new car!

I also have appreciation for the staff that plated my bolts.......I had NO CLUE they have to wire EVERY SINGLE washer, nut, bolt, etc. separately so they are all coated evenly.  I estimate I have given them over 2,000 pieces.........

BACK TO THE DASH..........and column......and pedal box........and crossmember

slapped my taillights on after being rechromed.  Unfortunately they are FAR from perfect but definitely much better than when I got them.  They had to be copper dipped three times to try and fill the corrosion and unfortunately there are still a ton of dots around the frames along with missing chunks  :( .  Oh well.  Should look much nicer once I get the black paint on them.

I also finished my trunk repair.  Seam sealed the battery tray, scuffed up the POR-15, and painted Cactus Green with the rattle can I got:

Headlight and signal time!  SUPER HAPPY with the front of this car.  I am going to remove the rechromed headlight trim and add the black paint where appropriate so it should look much better and sharper with some contrast.  I also robbed the Marchal headlights I bought for my Skyline.  Will need to get another set later.

I also mounted the ignition:

Next step is to modify the defrost cover to fit.  The LHD US cover has a hole for the VIN# that needs to be ground down:

I am trying to do something each night, no matter how small the task may be.  Last night I installed the hood hinges and door handles as well as one lock cylinder.  I have a key that works in the trunk, gas door, and left side door lock.  The right side door lock appears to be different so I am hoping I can visit a locksmith to get the cylinder rekeyed to match........not sure if anyone does this anymore.

The reason for getting the hinges mounted is that I will be running hood shocks so I wanted to take some measurements and make sure I get the right ones.  Doing research I found that people use the McMaster-Carr ones but I personally don't like the mounting point and how short they are.  I want to mount it further forward below the hole in the fender well right next to the shock tower.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.  The keeper mentioned using VW Jetta trunk shocks but is unsure of the year.  Anybody have good ones they use?

I know you said no, but I can't recommend highly enough the McMaster-Carr set-up. Used that on my last 5 cars and I love it. It also raises the hood up higher than stock by a good 4-5". Very nice if you're tall like me.

FLOORS ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!  I finally received my Eastwood Undercoating and painted the underside of the car.  The only thing left to paint on the shell is the spare tire underside.  I am looking forward to being done with paint.  I can now finally run my gas line and install the tank.  That is the goal of tonight anyways.  Also, I installed the trunk latch bracket.

Sorry for the poor picture quality as it was night time:

Thanks for the kind words.  Also, thanks for the feedback on a locksmith.  I am hoping to find one local on my lunch break today.

I had all mine matched to the ignition. The only thing is the lock cylinder needs to accept the same style key. single side, double side, etc.

I think I paid $15 per lock.

Eric came over yesterday to help with a bunch of stuff.  He brought my newly polished trunk.  In addition while he was over he went back over the some of the body that wasn't previously cut and removed the orange peel and polished it.  Car is looking AMAZING!!  We also got the front spoiler on, the marker lights, badges, mirrors.

First thing to do was install the trunk rubber:

I painted my interior door trim silver and removed the weatherstripping from my 1/4 windows.........stabbed and cut myself at least 10 times what a pain in the butt:  Eric still has to paint the wiper cowl, 1/4 windows, and gas door.
