85 720 kc electrical bracket on battery terminal broke

a black plastic box clips into this brass piece on the positive terminal of the battery. What is it called and where can i buy one? Thank you

That's the connection for the three fusible links. You'll have to make something or get from another 720*. This is likely the best bet

 

Nissan dealer may have something but...

 

Looks like you have an '85 so...

 

#24022-10W00 if Z24 engine

#24022-80W01 if you have the Z24i engine

 

This is for the fusible links (both about $25) but it's unclear if it includes that terminal or not.

Like most (I have to say vintage) car owners... sometimes you have to make do. Wrecking yard would be the best bet, next is making your own.

Is the mounting lug on the black piece still attached to it? Basically I'm asking uf the battery side of the terminal broke or if the plug side of it broke.

 

I've used many universal battery terminals with minor modifications to mount the fusible link block to.

I would try tack welding it back together myself, next I would look in the wrecking yards.

Probably brass. Not sure you can just weld brass. Solder is not a good mechanical connection either.

I would probably scuff the back of both pieces clean, then solder a strip of metal across both. Plenty of conductivity and reinforcement both.

It might be brass, I didn't think about that, it was a silver color when the photo was visible.
