Tomanyhobos Posted December 12, 2017 Report Share Posted December 12, 2017 So in the process of taking the car apart to send to the body shop for a new coat of paint I took of the back windows of my 1976 B210 and the bolts that were holding it in fell down into the body of the car behind the panelling in the back. When I tried to remove the panelling it started to rip instead of pop off like most panelling dose. I stopped because I was not sure how easy that would be to fix. Any suggestions on what to do to get the bolts bad? I thought about just pulling a corner of the panelling up and then using a magnate retriever tool to try and do that but then the issue is getting the windows back on. If you need photos of what I'm taking about I will take them. PS: This is my first car restore and I am learning as I go. Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420 Posted December 12, 2017 Report Share Posted December 12, 2017 If you want to remove the panel they do make a tool to pop those clips so you don't have to pull on the panel.... If it's just to retrieve the bolts... I would just go buy some new ones and hope the old one don't rattle around..... 1 Quote Link to comment

Slide down or along until you hit one of the plastic 'clips'? Get as close to the clip as you can. Try and slide the knife edge under the lip of the clip. Twist the knife blade and the clip will pop out of the hole in the body. Work your way around the panel and lift away. You should never pull on the panels. 3 Quote Link to comment
