Whats a good brand of fuel pump?

I see alot of offerings in the 12v electric fuel pump market.

Any that are especially worthy of being on an 83 720?

I use any off the shelf low psi pump. They are available at all parts stores, so no downtime. I doubt they make a pump that can't feed a z24. Mine is Mr. gasket, I never get less than 3psi pressure wot, up hill 5k rpm is no problem.

Anything but Airtex. Garbage pumps.

I'm using a carter p4070...

Low pressure high volumne...

4 to 8 psi and 72gph

Actually output for me was around 6.5

I did have to add a regulator, was a little high for my weber. Needed about 3.5..

Yea, the Facet cube style universal fuel pump is sold at nearly every autoparts store for about $60, and then get the universal adjustable regulator $15 or so.

 

There is another type that is rounded and works just as good also, they both work just as well.

 

But they should be mounted nearest to fuel tank as possible as they are made to push fluid, but have worked fine if mounted in engine compartment to suck.
