drb5721
Hey guys. I am new to the 720 pickups but am versed pretty well in other nissan products. My question pertains to my 83 KC 720 2.4L. I have a fueling issue and want to try to get some insight. Truck isnt getting fuel to the carb. Control box on passenger side looks ok after inspecting solder points. Figured i would take the pump off to see if it works with dorect battery power. When i touch the leads to the battery all i get is one click. Is this normal? Any electric pump i have ever dealt with has a very slight hummm like vibration when operating but most of those are pumps producing 40-120psi of pressure. Should it just click or should i get something more out of it? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It should have a continuous hum. Quote Link to comment
drb5721
I figured as much. Such low pressure made me wonder. Guess ill get another pump and go from there. Thank you. Will report back. Quote Link to comment
drb5721
Fuel pump is now moving fuel. I can see fuel in the carb through the glass but nothing is coming out when giving throttle. Gonna soak jets with carb cleaner to start Quote Link to comment
drb5721
Truck runs great! Now to get a clutch so it can be driven. Quote Link to comment
