spottedog
I use the car to get to work (7 miles) but that stopped two weeks ago when the ignition system quit working :crying: I put in all new parts $$$$$$ (3 years ago I pulled the engine and had it refurbished by a automotive machinest (700.00) It ran great until now. The compression is 125psi to 130psi on all cylinders, it never smoked, easy startup. I am mad as hell, what I have now is a big orange paper weight, pick and pull said they would tow it away for $250.00 I would feel better if I pushed it into the river. POS !!!!! :poop:  Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Think ignition, repair fuel. And vice-versa. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
That's under 20K. Did you say rebuild? what was done for $700 because 125/130 compression is just an old tired engine. Regardless it should still run alright. You need spark and gas. What's missing? 1 Quote Link to comment
505plus5
It also sounds like a starter solenoid problem, perhaps. You should just touch jump both solenoid screws... all at your own risk, of course. I'm having those same ignition issues. Buy, I'd say do it and it should crank over. Check for spark as well. Also, maybe clogged gas line... I think those may be the first things to try. Quote Link to comment
racerx
How did u do ur compression check? Was the engined warmed up? Was the throttle opened all the way? Did u use a screw in type of compression tester? Quote Link to comment
