I have a 510 wagon with a ka24de swap, was running real good until today. Can am box had a fuse burnt in it & now doesn't light all the way up? Usually lights up yellow, green & red. Only yellow lights up..? My fuel pump isn't priming up now. I checked the othe fuses & swapped the relays around with no luck. Has anyone had this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Pull relays out and test them

I think he said he swapped them around. The chance of one relay failing is slight but three???

Oh yeah.. duh.

 

Pull the board out and look for burn traces.

Or pull the relays and check for power on the hot side of the relay coil.

The power to the can am box works with the key(yellow light). The eccs (red) the other one (green) aren't powering up.. someone in another forum stated that the eccs & the other one are powered up from the ecu.. a wire was skinned when it sagged down on the water pump pulley, it goes to the mass air flow sensor plug( small blk w/white wire) Idk if that could damage the ecu. I have to find out how to check the ecu..

Ecu has a code for failed ecu.

 

I believe the ecu grounds those relays.

How can I check that Draker? Is there a way to find out if that happened? I want my goon up and running again but I don't want to purchase parts I don't need. I'm still learning and want to fully understand how it all works(ecu etc.)

A guy on another forum had a similar issue so I checked into what he said and located the problem. I pulled the ecu cover off and found an area on the circuit board that burnt. This Friday I'm going to dab some solder on it & repair it. He repaired his with no issues. Hopefully it goes well & that was the only problem. I'll keep you guys updated.

Frank fried 2 or 3 KA ECU's just by pressure washing the engine then trying to start it.  They don't like shorts it turns out.

They sure don't!!.. but looks like a doable fix.. burnt one circuit.. see how my soldering skills go..

Fixed it.. stoked! The only thing now is the goon is not shutting off with the key..? I have to figure out why now.. but at least it's running. Got power to all the relays in the can am box. Seems to be running a little smoother too. It's keeping me on my toes!

Goon won't shut off with the key now..? Any ideas? Drove it to work, seems reliable again.. I had to pull my coil wire to shut it down..its running again but I got to figure out what's happening now.. :)

I have been driving my goon to wrk & back, about 70 mi. round trip & runs great. Still haven't figured out why the goon not shutting off with my key now? I'll keep searching till I figure it out.
