5spot
I found a company that's willing to reproduce the pattern/texture of the vinyl seat fabric for my '73 510. I'm pretty sure the pattern/texture of the '73 is different than earlier years. He's quoted me approx. $100/yard. I'm guessing 3 or 4 yards for the 510. This seems reasonable considering he has to make some expensive tooling. He currently reproduces a lot of other vinyl patterns (mostly American cars), and owns the equipment to do it. Basically the vinyl, under heat and pressure, is embossed/pressed with a roller that has the texture in it. Easier said than done. The initial run for me would be black, but I assume any color can be done. I'm pretty sure the '73 came stock with either white or brown. I'm converting mine to black. Is anyone else interested? The more people, the lower the $$.Here are pics of what the pattern looks like on my '73 seats:https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4341/36517700164_d7ed1da0aa_h.jpghttps://farm5.staticflickr.com/4338/37180164806_dad67ca348_h.jpghttps://farm5.staticflickr.com/4423/37179949666_92708995e6_c.jpg 1 Quote Link to comment

5spot
Yes, if I can figure out how to post a pic. When I click on the "Image" icon it asks me for a URL. So not sure what to do. 1 Quote Link to comment

MikeRL411
Have you checked with Evans Upholstery in Gardena? Corner of Artesia and Youkon. They have a ton of reupholstery materials. They even matched my 1967 RL411 pattern many many years ago. It was "Wallaby" as in Kangaroo and was an exact match to the factory vinyl fabric, 2 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Angela found a place that matched her 510 wagon upholstery as well. 2 Quote Link to comment
Angela
Yes, I was able to find a source for this "rosette" pattern through my upholstery guy Mitch (Mitch's Stitches in San Luis Obispo, CA). My turquoise color was really hard to find but your color may be much more accessible. Mitch would likely point you in the right direction for a 2nd source that you could at least compare price. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/72188-71-goon-interior-project-finally-finished-woics/page-1 2 Quote Link to comment
