Hey y'all,

I bought some cobra seats that my friend is going to fabricate a base for. The shoulder harnesses will mount to the cage but do the lap belts mount to the rear seat bolts?

Follow the harness's recommendations on location of mounts. They typically provide diagrams.

If you bought some El-Cheapo belts that don't, then you can probably find diagrams on-line by real safety harness manufactures that do show desired angle of the lap mounts.

Just attaching to the easiest place like a seat bolt can make them dangerous.

Why not have him build mount points on the base?

I'll ask him to build the mounting points into the base. It's a schroth harness and a cobra Suzuka gt seat. Passenger seat is the cobra Monaco.

I hope there is enough room for the seat with the cage in place
