Paint code/color of my 71 521?

Paint code is gone from the engine bay and I have no idea what it is.   So much conflicting information on the web.  

 

Blue 567 or Island Turquoise 568?  Neither of which were used in 1972 according to this site.

Hard to tell from a computer screen but looks like 471, 557 Nissan Blue

Saw all of those links.  First one It looks like 557 (no reference to that code anywhere else..567 close), second it looks like 562.

I couldn’t make out the numbers on my ’73. I was sent this lead regarding my '73. Maybe you can get it to work/find a 1971 section. It seems Australia has a lot of info on old Datsuns.

Seems like yours is original paint too.... I bet its just a bit sun faded over the years....

Some of the other colors you thought seem too light...

Plus the bat one seems freshly polished and shinning....

Pull up the carpet for a better color determination. Use sunlight when comparing color. Our eyes evolved to use 5,500-6,500 kelvin light. Indoor lights and computer screens are no good for paint matching.

Yeah, pretty tough to tell the color code from the internet.

most any paint shop should have a sample card on file. The place I got my paint had a ton of stuff for Datsuns .

Try looking at your tag with flashlight from many different angles. Sometimes you can catch a glimpse of a faded number. Also inverting the colors on a camera can bring it out. I took over 100 pics on my truck trying to read the tag. I got it though. Knowing what the number might be helps a lot.

tried that no luck.  Hunt continues but the more and more I look I think its got to be 567.
