4-spd 5-spd Shifter arm interchangeability (bot 5spd w/o arm)

I just got a 1980 720 L29B 2wd 5-speed w/o a shifter arm.

 

Is there any chance the shifter from my 4 speed will fit?  (or am I screwed?)

The 71B 4 and 5 speed transmission shifters will interchange.

Whew... lucky me.

 

But not so lucky for my 87 Chevy Turbo sprint I took from PA to SC:  on the way down the windshield got nearly exploded by a rock or stray bullet in WV - it left a very nasty star crack with a ​round circular crack about 2.5" in diameter that was about 220* and incomplete - at the center of this arc the windshield has big deep chunky cracks.  My thought is that if the impact was just a little greater and the circle "ccmpleted", the windshield would have shattered.

 

​Then that very night, vandals totally egged and taco'd it.

Hey, is not having a notched bench seat going to pose any problem?
