datzenmike
Your 720 should have a coolant recovery system to catch any fluid pushed out by heat soak over heating. The hose from the rad cap should go to a plastic bottle that stores it. When the rad cools down the cap allows it to siphon back in. You do need the special rad cap for this. If the seal on the cap is bad the coolant system could push fluid outside the rad and drip on the ground. With this system retro fitted to my '76 I top up the rad once a year. 1 Quote Link to comment
racerx
Need to have a recovery tank. If none, u can even use a water bottle for now. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Saves the antifreeze from being constantly diluted when you top up. BTW always use distilled water. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Check the rubber seal under the cap. It has to mate to the rad opening and seal it. Quote Link to comment
