Datsun water outlet - can anyone identify?

I think it's a water outlet - and I'm sure if you need one it's priceless. I'm having trouble making myself throw it out.

I have no idea what it's for or if it's even off a Nissan.

Most certainly Datsun. Been a Datsun/Nissan Infiniti only shop since 1977. Lots of this kind of stuff in the drawers out in the shop. The old techs can't bear to throw things away. Now I just try to identify and stock or sell.  Oldest tech was guessing pickup, but he said he's too old to remember for sure. LoL

Have had lots of L and Z series engines apart and don't remember seeing this. That would cover 70 to 85 trucks. Diesel? Maybe Patrol or Fairlady.

The threaded outlet is what's blowing my mind.. never seen that before.

If I were to guess I would say it was part of one of the machines in the shop.

Looks like an emissions pipe,, exhaust re circulation maybe ( i'm thinking that pipe that wraps around the engine with the giant nut on each end) like on a newer engine like say an A15  or newer.
