flatcat19
Install an IR alt to get rid of regulator; splice wires together to complete circuit. 2 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
That's not the voltage regulator connector. Looks like the auto choke heater relay. 2 Quote Link to comment

feralcat
That's not the voltage regulator connector. Looks like the auto choke heater relay.., that's what is corroded. and my charging light is comes on, but my alternator and regulator where just replaced. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Voltage regulator is at bottom left corner in this picture. The trouble with replacing everything is you likely as not add a bad part. So your alternator was bad but you replace it and the regulator but put in a bad regulator.. problem seems to not have been fixed. If you have the old parts try putting them back in. (never throw old parts away) For the heater relay just find or buy a 4? wire male/female plug and wire it in. Solder connections and use heat shrink tubing. 2 Quote Link to comment
feralcat
oops. right. the voltage regulator has the same connector and the corroded piece is the one one that comes out of the wiring harness. i've searched for that piece with no luck. can you point me in the right direction. it's a 6 wire plug. thanks. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Any plug will work if it has 6 positions or more. Try a wrecking yard. It doesn't have to be exact it only has to work. 2 Quote Link to comment
