f1ndM3aTaco
Those flange bolts on the driveshaft still won't undo themselves. Placed the old brake rotor there to lessen the amount of heat rising to the car from when I used the torch. will be getting the lines down and remaking some nicop ones. Quote Link to comment

f1ndM3aTaco
Is the 720/Z series sender the same as the 210? Any recommendations on how to tackle cleaning and repainting this sucker? Now that the carbon canister is done I have to figure out which lines I don't need anymore. Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
Cleaned it the best I could and it still has that 70's smell aww yeaaa B) Now that the front interior is done it's time to move to the rear. Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
Came to realize that practically all the rust in the rockers and bottom of quarter panels is due to cracked and old seals. Got some marine/auto sealant as a temp solution that I will apply to the outside glass seals. Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
Warning the following image contains graphic material not suitable for all ages. ...wait did I just give a trigger warning? Damn those US bumpers and everything that mounted them to this car! DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL!!! Other side and center weren't too bad, want to plug up these tiny holes with some rubber grommets or something. Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
This weekend I think I am going to plan a day where i wake up early and wire wheel all the section of rust on the tail end. Use rustoleum rust converter and self etching primer. Hit some other sections the same way in the engine bay and panels too (different day though). Quote Link to comment

Atomic
With the plastic, you could try to add more with soldering iron for extra thickness. I did my 'welds' pretty deep to make sure it wont crack again, but it's kinda risky to have it not burn through. Also, same deal with my rear bumper holders back in the days  I should have taken more photos, here are some of the sweetest rust parts, ahh: https://i.imgur.com/bxlVN4C.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YUBB2zy.jpg <--- Bad https://i.imgur.com/KcHEtOM.jpg <--- Really bad https://i.imgur.com/eCAe5NN.jpg <--- bumper Posted with links so not robbing space from your post  Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
it's kinda risky to have it not burn through. That's really what I was trying to avoid more than anything. wow... it's interesting seeing how rust develops in these cars. Seems like the seals and big safety bumpers are the reason why most of it occurs. Been real lucky with the floors on mine. f1ndM3aTaco
Got myself a little better set-up for some of the rainy days. Also have to say that this stuff did wonders on the exhaust manifold. Brass brush and parts cleaner worked pretty well on the wiper motor. Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
Got the fenders off and cleaned the wiring in the bay. Used an old plastic ruler to scrape off the sealer on the fender. purtty clean  1 Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
Got myself sorted with a little extra space in my garage too, decided to bring the tires and other stuff that needs to get cleaned inside. Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
So I got a new brake master but I want to use the old Tokico caps as they have the pressure sensor for when the brake pads need changing. Hopefully its not a problem. Quote Link to comment

f1ndM3aTaco
Fair warning this one's gonna be a dump :poop: ... but like a nice one you know, so i'll start off with something good. finally gave up on those flange bolts and decided to just cut the fuckers out with the dremel. oh yeah and this too... 1 Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
Did a little tranny cleaning here's before. here's two hours, three spray bottles of green clean, 2 brass brushes, a pressure washer, and a whole lot of elbow grease later. I've decided on trying to use as little brake cleaner as possible after I started searching up what that shit does and what that shit can turn into if you heat it up. Be careful out there people don't go spraying that shit willy nilly, brake cleaner kills. 1 Quote Link to comment
f1ndM3aTaco
got it on a stand. Nothing was looking bad, at least from what I could tell, but I decided on sending the engine out to a shop nearby that would clean all the mating surfaces properly. I just couldn't get those old gaskets off completely. Quote Link to comment

f1ndM3aTaco
Primered spots were where glassblasting was done to clean out some of the shit and rust. i think that will be enough to start up my little 4 banger  I just bought an adjustable tie down for the battery today at the parts store as well.
