Let's See Your B210 Stereos

So since I bought my B210 I've been driving lonely and with only the sound of engine and wind noise. I plan to keep the stock radio and will remain in its stock location. I'm in need to hear some tunes while driving my ride to work or wherever my "B" takes me..

So I want to see some of your stereos and your creative installations.

Let the ideas begin..

I will be going down this road in my 510. Was thinking about keeping the stock am radio and getting a bluetooth amp to power a few speakers. Looking at a JL 6w3 6.5" sub. Maybe an 8".. looking to save space.

This.

On my 510 I added an 1/8" input jack to the stock radio, then ran the radio speaker output into an amp, then out to four speakers. Sounded good. Only downside is it's always mono, not stereo.

Wow! Joes stuff is awesome.

BUT the cheapest conversion come out at $425

Not cheap :(

Yes. Or maybe no. Ummm.... I agree, so whichever word properly indicates that.

I'm slowly (think year or two) working on a design that functions similarly, but is diy arduino based. I'm working on aux and bluetooth integration, stereo w/ 4 speaker output, fader, balance, etc all controlled by the original Datsun radio i have.

I just pulled the factory AM radio out of my b310 last night! It isn't going back in. There's a guy on ebay selling nice retro style 2 knob stereos that are completely modernized. They have the same knob spacing as the Datsun and aren't too too terrible on price. I'll get one of those and then wire in some new speakers and probably call it a day.

I haven't seen 4ch output but there are several headless units sold on the Chinese deal sites that are basically Bluetooth tied to an amp with some knobs, probably make a good base to pull from, as the electronics are very compact on those. I bought a cheap one to pull apart and it was mostly dead space with a single board and heat sink with a cable to the front panel controls.

That is actually exactly what I'm thinking, but I'm hoping i can find one where i can pirate the sound signal preamp and route it through a 4channel chip.

I've been looking at some that aren't even DIN sized head units. They are a screw on panel with a small screen and exposed electronics on the back, but they have bluetooth, aux, and usb.
