ang94541 Posted July 20, 2017 Report Share Posted July 20, 2017 Hey guys, Last time I had my A12 engine rebuilt was 20 years ago. Carl Stirtz did the machine work and I believe he has since closed. Any recommendations of automotive machine shops, preferably in the East Bay? It'd be nice if they are familiar with A-Series engines but it could be anyone. I'm not looking to do anything special, just a basic rebuild. Likely need new pistons as the ring grooves are opened up and a couple of bores look like they need more than a hone. thanks, Angelo Quote Link to comment

Kurt there knows a bit about everything, but when I worked at Rebello, he was our overflow machinist. We used mostly Shelldust Machine in Pacheco, but I think they're gone now. Rebello can do most machine work now, and they certainly know A motors. They're in Antioch now, off A St and Wilbur Ave. 1 Quote Link to comment
