Just seeing if theres a good place to get metal patch panels for autobody repair.  Found some at home depot and such and also Eastwood. Just not sure on the quality.

It's fine, I go to lowes since it's closer to me but it's just sheet metal. The quality is just fine. If you've got a place like Waite or a fab shop nearby, that may be a better deal as they tend to buy in bulk

There are a few metal supply shops in eugene. I'm sure there is at least one around you.

i buy a 4x8ft 18 gauge sheet metal here in Qc, Canada for 70$ CAD or 52 USD. Does size matter?

Used cars and trucks are great sources for sheet metal.  Just don't tell any one you cut up a Gremlin to repair your Datsun!  LOL

If you want rustproof patches, buy some galvanized oil drip pans.  Cheap and if you can weld through the galvanize, or edge strip it, and then spray the inside cavity you should be far ahead.
