datzenmike
Should work. Remember it is load bearing so weld. Might want to spray undercoaring on the under side. 2 Quote Link to comment
620owner
Thanks, I'm going to button weld it in where I have drilled and cleaned the metal. I'll seam seal it and take your recommendation and undercoat the heck out of it . 1 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
POR 15 your floor if you can afford it, I did mine with less than half a quart and that can was $48, undercoat the outside and beef up the welds as Mike suggested ;) 2 Quote Link to comment
620owner
Got some POR-15 coming via Amazon. Gonna coat the floor pans. Question......thinking about putting some Heat/Sound deadening on the floor. Maybe inside the doors. To quiet things down inside. Anyone have suggestion ? I did see on a couple of You-Tube videos that some of the Box Stores carry Heating Duct (Frost KIng) insulation they say works. Also, some using Peel N Seal with some success. Welcome any feedback . 1 Quote Link to comment

I used the roof seal roll that Home Depot carries on my dime, seems to work fine, I'll use it on my 620 as well, $20 for the 26' roll, don't get the tar one, there's two, non tar is what you want. 620owner
OK, thanks for the comments. I had some time to work on the carpet. Got a piece from J.C. Whitney it was supposed to fit the whole cab but what they sent me did fit the front area only so so... I did some trimming to get the front fit. Now I'm at the "GLUE" or "NOT Glue" the carpet to the insulation ? I can use the four screws that held the original rubber floor mats. I've got some spray contact but if I tack the carpet to the insulation and ever need to take the carpet up I'd have a mess... Appreciate feedback on this. 2 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
How much do you think the carpet will be moving around? It's screwed in place in the center and I'm assuming you put screws in the firewall and the door sills should hold the outer edges. Fuck glue 1 Quote Link to comment
620owner
Taking your advise. I'm going to give it a try without Glue. Your right the center console, floor screws and the door sills on the sides should hold it in place. That insulation is really slippery... like a damn sliding board. Also thinking about covering the back of the cab from the floor to the bottom of the window. Not sure if I want to use a thin fiberboard or just carpet it to. 1 Quote Link to comment
620owner
Well I just got a suggestion from a friend who's a body man. He say's to use double backed tape or rubber no-slip used for under throw rugs on hardwood floors. Humm I like both ideas. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Hardcore Velcro, industrial grade could be another good option. Sure you glue it down, but in small sections in might work great. 1 Quote Link to comment
