madams
So I purchased a 1980 720 off my brother for super cheap and my problem is that I can't fit in the truck. Im a big guy at 6'3" and about 300lbs and I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what the best way around it was? My hope is that I can replace the seat with something thinner. Any ideas? I thought about eating a salad and going for a walk but I think I would rather just throw some money at the problem. 1 Quote Link to comment
Brandon.fair
How's you metal working skills? You might be able to get some angle iron and make a bracket to move the seat back a few inches. 1 Quote Link to comment
captain720
Is it a king cab? If so then move the seats back. If not then consider making it a convertible. 1 Quote Link to comment
madams
It's a standard cab unfortunately. My head is more than touching the roof. I was thinking a seat swap would work. 1 Quote Link to comment

Brandon.fair
Im thinking you might be SOL my friend the seats are pretty thin as they are. You might be able to get a few inches if you find a comfortable riding position(where the seat sits in regards to front to back) then take the tracks off and fab a custom bracket out of some steel flat bar and bolt seat directly to that. Once this was done you would not be able to slide the seat foreward or back. 1 Quote Link to comment
madams
Yeah I'd be ok with making my own seat brackets for the truck. Plus then the wife won't be able to drive it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Lockleaf
^^^^ And bolt in with just a little slotting of bolt holes. I've been running Z32 seats in my 720 for years. 1 Quote Link to comment
