edekalil
Is there any supplier's that have gas tank sending units for Goon's and Sedans? Or what else will work? Quote Link to comment
SteadFast
I used a 240z sending unit that I shortened. Worked great! Quote Link to comment
edekalil
Thanks that might be what I have to do. Quote Link to comment

Stitebunny
Was wagon specific. Looks like the price went up now. Do you not have one? What is wrong with it if you do? Quote Link to comment
edekalil
Was wagon specific. Looks like the price went up now. Do you not have one? What is wrong with it if you do? I see one on the bay but they want 160 something for it. I'll try to se what other options I can come up with. Mine is a bit rusty so I'll try to clean it and see what happens. Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Post a pic of the complete unit.... might look the same as others.... Quote Link to comment
edekalil
Gonna try cleaning it with AppleCiderVinegar. We will see what happens come Saturday when I get back. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I've thought the same. The basic senders are likely all the same. Getting these tested / certified for safety must be horrendously expensive so best to use one for all models and many years. This would indicate that the gauges are also similar. I've used a 720 gas tank in my 620 and the 620 gauge read perfectly. Only the float and arm length needs to be different to work in different models. Some mount in the top pf the tank some on the side. Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
I just got one for my 521 off eBay, and basically what mike said.... what I got wasn't even the same as the pic.... Minor bend to the lever and I should good, but I swear what I received looks closer to what you have than what I thought I bought.... I'll take a pic and measurement later maybe it will help... edekalil
They have some others for around $20 on eBay I may get one for the heck of it just in case I have to go that route and mod it. Quote Link to comment

And I measured the swing from full to empty and that's about 7inches.... Close up of stop locations... This may or may not help.... 1 Quote Link to comment

edekalil
Well what looked like this Now is looking like this After soaking in apple cider vinegar for about 4-5 days then carful light brushing with a soft tooth brush. It's all freed up and moves freely now so now I hope it all works which it should as long as you do not break the little wire resister. Thank you YouTube. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Unfortunately, without any protective plating, it will likely rust again very quickly :( Quote Link to comment
edekalil
Probably so I thought that too. But if it can work then I'll have to try it. I use nonethenol gas here that may not help it but what the heck. I guess I'll do what Mr Big Tanker would and have it gold plated, that may hold off the corrosion. 1 Quote Link to comment
crewy
That came out pretty clean. My tank and unit after sitting looks just as clean as thT. The as why I can't figure out why my it doesn't register. I was wondering during if the temp and fuel work together cus I disconnected my temp to put a guage in Quote Link to comment
