Donedreamin
Hey dudes,I recently took apart my Weber to rebuild, this is my first time rebuilding a carb and I could use a second opinion. The only confusion I am having is how to set my float and needle valve clearance. The manual i received with the rebuild kit wasn't very useful and was unclear how to make the measurements. The manual also mentioned a float level of 18MM and a needle valve clearance of 2.00.I did some research and came across the following diagram and i was able to confirm I have a 32/36 5A carb and it's stating my float level should be 46.5/36.5Can anyone with more knowledge guide me in the right direction as I'm really unsure and I dont want to mess this up, Thank you. 1 Quote Link to comment

Doctor510
Eye ball the float with the cover upside down, IF it's parallel, you're good to go! 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Yes, but parallel only when first contacting the tip of the needle valve. There is a little jiggle in the valve. 1 Quote Link to comment
