1976 Datsun B210 Honey Bee for sale $1250

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, I am going to have to part with my 1976 Datsun B210 Honey Bee. I bought the car last summer from the estate of the original owner, but I am not going to be able to dedicate the time to the car to get it back on the road. The car is very original and will make a nice and scarce little car. Original paint and interior. Since purchasing the car, I spent $250 on new old stock wheels which have been powder coated gray and painted black. I purchased a set of tires for $100 (front two are almost new, back two are very good--matching set). I also purchased everything to replace the brakes completely including new calipers, rotors, pads, drums, shoes, hardware, and wheel cylinders (another $275), as well as a correct original air cleaner for $75. All of these new parts are included with the car.

All I know about the car mechanically is that when I purchased it, the previous owner cranked the car using the key in the ignition and using a bottle to feed gas to carb. It ran very well for 20 seconds or so with no smoking. I have no idea about transmission functionality. Driver's rear wheel is stuck (I am assuming from a locked brake).

All glass is good. The interior is actually in pretty nice condition with a couple of seam splits on the driver's seat and a small hole in back of the seat. Door panels look very good. Dash has the all-to-common crack as seen in photos, but they do make covers for the dash. This car never had carpet, just the vinyl which should clean up nicely. Weatherstripping needs attention and / or some replacement.

There are some rust issues mainly on lower sections of driver's side, and front floor pan on passenger's side. Some other small rust areas as shown. There is rust and a hole in the spare tire area of the trunk (lower section of this area should be replaced if wanted). This is likely due to the old weatherstripping allowing moisture into the trunk area. Engine bay has some areas of rust, mostly at the battery tray. The car will not come with a battery. Frame appears to be very good.

This is a VERY original car which was driven by an older man. The odometer has just rolled over 100,000 miles. I have clean title in my name. I also have a repair manual I will include with the car. The starting price is less than what I have invested in the car thus far. Located in western North Carolina. I can't deliver or load. **Please understand this is a restoration project and is being sold AS IS with no warranty. I have tried to do my very best describing the vehicle. I am not a trained mechanic or body man, so please ask any specific questions you might have.
